Each half-hour program is an adaptation of two or three articles from Our State magazine, a lavishly designed, much loved monthly featuring stories about North Carolina people, culture and tradition.

Our State TV has been called PBS North Carolina's "jewel in the crown," with local ratings comparable to PBS shows like Masterpiece Theater, NOVA, American Experience and NATURE.
